
Hapkido
Our Hapkido classes are held in Launceston, Tasmania. Hapkido is a traditional self-defence art originating in Korea. It is a technical martial art that relies on redirection of force, along with superior balance and coordination to defeat an opponent.
Hapkido students learn a wide range of skills including striking, blocking, kicking, joint locks, break falls, take downs and restraints. At advanced levels the students can also study weapons like sword, staff, fan, dan-bong (short stick), cane and belt.
The traditional martial arts values of perseverance, self-control, honesty and respect for others are a further feature of our Hapkido classes.
Hapkido is a suitable martial art for men, women and children of all ages seeking to improve fitness, coordination and build confidence.
Our Hapkido training is affiliated with the Korea Hapkido Federation. We also have a sistership with the Hapkido College of Australia (Sydney) the Masters of which assist us with seminars and independent certification of dan gradings in Tasmania.
